Ready For Summer

I got these really inexpensive sunglasses from ebay and amazon. I wear sunglasses year round but I feel so ready for summer with these and my new lipstick, Haute Melon by Nyx. It was only $2 and it's smooth and nicely pigmented and pretty long lasting!

This Week On Instagram

This week the pups got haircuts, they were overdue but I really miss the fluff. The groomer completely ignored what I asked for and Kirby came home with the worst haircut ever. I cannot wait for it to grow back, the rest were cute though. I got my first ever purchase from Beautylish Boutique & my very first Sugarpill eyeshadow in Buttercupcake; I chose the yellow because it matches my favorite bad music for bad people Cramps shirts, haha. I never finished arranging my desk living room, I got so overwhelmed with personal things lately. It was a depressing, exhausting, and painful (emotionally and physically) week for me. Don't want to get into it but I'm starting to feel better...

January Rising

   If you follow me on Instagram (I've been meaning to post them on here for awhile, oops) you've seen that I'm a huge fan of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, especially their lip tars, and my collection has grown since this was snapped! They're an incredible product. So long lasting and pigmented, with an amazing variety of colors! I recommend them to everyone, all the time. They are also vegan and cruelty free.
   Earlier today I was scrolling through my tumblr dashboard, and came across a link to this Beautylish article about January Rising. January Rising is a campaign from January Hunt, an OCC employee, and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics to raise funds for January to complete her gender affirmation surgeries, and to spread awareness of transphobia. They've released a limited edition lip tar color, January Rising for the cause. Yet another reason to love Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, not that there weren't enough already. I just wanted to spread the word about this, and I hope you can contribute or spread the word too. Thank you!

This Week On Instagram

March 4th - 10th

I really enjoy seeing weekly instagram posts on blogs I follow so I'm going to borrow that idea and start posting mine too.

   This week was a little boring, stayed in because I was feeling so terrible. Early this week I ended up finding out some shocking information about one of my favorite brands, so I made the decision to stop supporting them, I feel really disappointed because I loved their products, a lot. I spent a lot of time with Kirby, he's getting even snugglier now and I love it! I received a really cute and thoughtful package from Gabbi, full of so many adorable things and beauty products I still haven't photographed everything yet! I also made the decision to take better care of myself and my skin especially, I chose to purchase more natural skincare products like Josie Maran Argan oil, the cleanser was a gift from Gabbi, continuing with overhauling my skincare products I placed a big order from Lush, everything ended up working well for me so far, hopefully my skin keeps improving. I found a miracle product for me, Lush Superbalm... I have been struggling for the past year with really bad eczema on my entire scalp, it's been awful and so embarrassing, This balm has helped so much just after the first use! I spent Sunday moving furniture around and trying to get organized, I accomplished so very little, today turned out to be pretty craptacular... Hopefully I can start my week off on a better note.

Cute Mail Day

I got the cutest package in the mail today from a friend, Gabbi of hellobandit.me // hellogabbi on instagram. I feel truly spoiled and I had so much fun opening it all. I totally forgot to charge my camera's battery so I wasn't able to get pics of everything but I'll post more it soon! I did post some videos on Vine of myself opening it though. Now I get to have fun and put together a package for a friend, something I have not done in awhile, so excited!

Lime Crime Lipsticks

The latest in my Lime Crime collection: Geradium, My Beautiful Rocket, and Coquette.

 Geradium is the newest color from Lime Crime and I knew I had to have it when I saw it announced on Lime Crime's tumblr, it's so gorgeous and bright. I've been obsessed with orange lipstick and nail polish for a couple months, My Beautiful Rocket is a great addition to the collection; I'll be doing a big post on all my favorite oranges soon! I purchased Coquette awhile ago but I realized I never posted it! It's a beautiful pink nude. I'm obsessed with bright lipstick right now so I haven't worn it yet but maybe soon, it's a very cute color though.

If you've never tried Lime Crime lipstick, I'd highly recommend it.* Not only is the color selection amazing, especially if you're looking for unusual colors - the formula is so creamy and pigmented!

*After this post was published I read up more on Lime Crime and the owner's history and I have made the decision not to support them anymore. Please see the comments on this post if you want to see why. I will never force my opinion on others but read whats out there and decide what is best for you.

Not So Sweethearts Fabric

Small Daiso Haul

I want to learn how to crochet/knit, I thought these donut buttons would be perfect for a Blythe helmet!

In case you didn't know its Girl Scout Cookie season, I got my favorite, Samoas (and Thin Mints!)

 I got a couple other things like some heart shaped cookie cutters, a coral pink polka dot box for storage, and bubble gum. 

I took some snapshots around the store on my iPhone. Daiso is the best for finding simple cute things like storage/gift boxes, cute packaging supplies, cute sponges, lots of bento and baking supplies like cookie cutters and egg molds.. I'm not sure how I managed to walk out with so few things in my basket.You can also find weird stuff like inflatable boobs, and beer soda for children, which I forgot to snap a pic of, oh well.. Next time! I'll be going back soon because I'm kicking myself for not buying more cute baking supplies and the Licca-look-alike dolls. Oh and the best part, almost everything in the store only costs $1.50!

Color Club Halo Hues 2013 Swatches

These arrived on Monday, they were an early birthday present from Rob. I got a little bit obsessed with holographic nail polish.. Last week I also got the Halo Hues 2012 collection (I'll have swatches of those soon), and I'm also really looking forward to the upcoming China Glaze Hologram collection.

Birthday Haul

My birthday is coming up soon, February 12th... Not sure how I feel about that. I treated myself to a few things from Sephora: OPI - It's Totally Karma, I never buy OPI for full price but I love green nail polish and I couldn't resist this one. My addiction to Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar continues, I got 3 lip tars in Femme, Trollop, and Harlot I think that brings my collection to 19 or 20! The rest were freebies: Tarte face primer and this years Birthday freebie is awesome - minis of Benefit mascara and a highlighter!

King Lollipop - "Cheeseburger and Fries"

Earlier this week, I got Woodland Whoopee Songs of Ol' Callowhee! By King Lollipop, which is a project by Cody Blanchard from Shannon and The Clams. Satc is one of my favorite bands, as you've probably noticed the amount of times I include them whenever I make a mix, haha. This albums been out since 2011, but I wasn't aware of it till recently. Wish I had heard it sooner this was a real fun listen. Is anyone else totally hungry after that video? I need to go to In-N-Out now.

Monchhichi iPhone Case

I got this adorable Monchhichi iPhone case earlier this week. I couldn't pass it up when I saw it on a cheaper eBay auction, it was totally over priced everywhere else. It's a snap/hard case and I'm not used to that I usually get soft/silicone cases but I don't care that much because MONCHHICHI! Sorry it's been a little quiet here, we got a bunch of new furniture and there's major remodeling going on haven't had much time or space (or peace and quiet) to do very much around here... but I have lots of nail polish to swatch and I'm gonna try my hand at doing video swatches/reviews sometime soon, too!
